Frequently asked questions
Who can become a companion?
Any student currently enrolled in a college. You register in the app, take a short 15-minute assessment, and your college approves you.
What do companions do during a visit?
Mostly, they spend time — conversation, reading, games, walks, help with phones or video calls, and small errands. Companions do not give medical care.
Is my phone number shared with the other person?
No. Calls between a senior and a companion are connected through the app, so neither side sees the other's real number.
My parent isn't comfortable with smartphones. Can we still use it?
Yes. Our help desk can complete the registration over the phone, and family members can help book visits.
What if something goes wrong during a visit?
Press the SOS button in the app — our team is alerted immediately. You can also report or block anyone from their profile.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
